Alan and I jumped a bus today to the suburbs of Charlotte. The bus took us through beautiful tree lined streets and passed immaculate southern style homes. My bargain buy of the day was a long dress which had been reduced from $70 down to $12.99. When I got to the checkout there was a further reduction, I paid $10.41.
A further 10 minute walk down the road found us at Barnes and Noble. Most of these magazines I had never seen inside. Each one cost approx 1/3 of what we would pay in Australia.
We had lunch at the Cheescake Factory. No, they don't wear yellow and green.
When we got back to the hotel we picked up our bits and pieces from the Nascar tour people. After this was taken Alan discovered the bag was also filled with bits and pieces useful for a weekend at the races; sunscreen, lip balm, ear plugs, pens, seat cushions, stubbie holder etc. Now we are all set we just have to hope the weather holds. NASCAR doesnt't race in the wet.
