Experiments with Bread Clay
I have been experimenting with the Bread Clay recipe from an earlier post. I wanted to see if there were alternatives to adding colour at the beginning of the process. I was motivated by laziness. If I could make a large batch and add colour later then I would save time making lots of smaller coloured batches.
I made the batch as per the recipe however I deleted the acrylic paint. Once they had air dryed I sprayed them with gloss sealer. Then the experimenting began.
These were coloured with alcohol ink. While they don't look too bad it was extremely messy and I had to work hard to get the colours to blend. Not a process I will repeat.
I was thrilled with look of the stamped pieces. It would work just as well with coloured clay. I enjoyed the experimentation however will stick to adding colour at the beginning in future.
